In the 94th minute, pure elation broke out for Chelsea and interim manager Calum McFarlane as Enzo Fernández bundled in a dramatic equaliser. The goal left Pep Guardiola ranting in frustration and provided the stand-in Chelsea manager a truly golden moment. On paper, Guardiola versus McFarlane represented the Premier League's most pronounced managerial mismatch, making the memory of Fernández's pivotal intervention one to cherish the 40-year-old throughout his career.

A Glaring Contrast in Experience

On the City bench stood the era's defining coach, a man with four decades of silverware for elite clubs Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, overseeing his 1,012th match. In the opposite technical area, stood a former coach at lower-league sides Croydon and Whyteleafe, who had served in City's own academy and arrived to make his senior managerial bow after being temporarily promoted from his regular role overseeing Chelsea's youth teams.
